Multiple complaints have already surfaced on social media from this year’s World Series of Poker 2025, despite the event being on track to break last year’s attendance record.

The annual poker event is taking place in Las Vegas at the Paris Las Vegas and the Horseshoe Las Vegas. The Main Event is not due to go ahead until July 2, but players are already making their grievances known in regard to dealer inexperience.
One player called Steven Cole took to X to share his experience, claiming that one of his dealers had to ask if “he’s supposed to shuffle after every hand.” In the same vein, American player Matthew Blagg said that his dealer didn’t shuffle the cards again after a misdeal:
Multiple events have already concluded in the 56th renewal of the WSOP. Most recently, British pro Benny Glaser secured his sixth WSOP bracelet by taking down Event #8 the $1,500 Dealer’s Choice, winning $150,246.
Phil Hellmuth, controversial American poker pro, claimed that he planned to boycott the WSOP Main Event this year. He changed that stance after running a fan poll last week that he claimed favored his participation. Doug Polk shared a screenshot which appeared to show the poll in fact favored Hellmuth not playing.
